About Hadiqa
I’m a warm, engaging and positive tutor who believes children learn best when they feel safe, understood and genuinely enjoy the process. While my approach is structured and psychology-informed, my sessions are also fun, interactive and full of encouragement.
I have worked across a range of school settings as well as supporting students online, which has given me strong insight into different learning environments, expectations and challenges. This experience allows me to quickly build rapport and adapt my teaching style to suit each child’s personality and needs.
My sessions are a safe space to try, to make mistakes, and to grow. I actively encourage students to take risks in their learning, knowing that confidence develops when children feel supported rather than judged. Learning should feel motivating, not intimidating — and I work hard to ensure every session is both highly effective and genuinely enjoyable.

I provide premium, one-to-one tuition for Primary through to GCSE learners, with particular expertise in supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs. My approach is psychology-informed and trauma-aware, meaning I prioritise emotional safety, trust and confidence as the foundation for academic progress.
I specialise in understanding the psychological and emotional needs of children and apply this knowledge to design carefully structured, individualised sessions that create the conditions for lasting academic success. By identifying barriers to learning — whether anxiety, low self-belief, attention difficulties or past negative experiences — I am able to rebuild confidence, re-engage disengaged learners, and turn around students who may previously have struggled to reach their potential.
Teaching methodology & techniques
Every lesson is tailored to the individual learner. I begin with a clear assessment of strengths, gaps and learning preferences, then design personalised learning plans with structured, achievable goals.
I use:
Scaffolded instruction to build independence step by step
Retrieval practice and spaced repetition for long-term retention
Visual supports and concrete examples where helpful
Explicit modelling and worked examples
Confidence-building dialogue and metacognitive strategies
For students with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia or Dyscalculia, I adapt pacing, structure and resources to reduce cognitive overload and support focus. For anxious learners, I use calm, predictable routines and positive reinforcement to help them feel secure and capable.
Typical lesson length
Lessons are usually 60 minutes. For younger learners or those with attention difficulties, 45-minute sessions are also available. GCSE students may benefit from 90-minute sessions during exam preparation periods.
Qualifications & experience
I have delivered over 1000 lessons and have extensive experience working with Primary and GCSE students across Maths, English and Biology. I specialise in SEN support and confidence-building tuition, with a strong understanding of how anxiety and self-belief impact academic performance.
