About Briar
With over 10 years of flute teaching experience, I have guided students from different age groups, including school students, college students, and working professionals. I believe flute learning should be simple, practical, and enjoyable. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding the student’s needs and building skills gradually.
I start with basics like breathing control, finger placement, posture, and rhythm. Once students are comfortable, I introduce advanced lessons and musical expression. I explain concepts in easy language and use demonstrations to make learning clear. I also encourage regular practice and discipline while keeping lessons stress-free. Real-life musical examples and performance-based exercises are part of my teaching method.
Over the years, I have successfully trained students for exams, competitions, and cultural events. Some students have performed confidently on stage and shown steady improvement in their skills. Seeing students grow musically is my greatest achievement. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated and confident while learning flute.

My flute teaching methodology is built on clear understanding, patience, and practical learning. I believe music should be learned with confidence and joy. I begin by understanding the student’s skill level, learning pace, and musical goals.
I use real-life examples and simple case studies from everyday practice. Breathing is explained using natural breathing habits, and tone control is compared to speaking clearly and smoothly. These examples help students apply techniques naturally.
Understanding is the base of my teaching. I explain each exercise clearly and make sure students know its purpose. Communication is open and friendly, so students feel comfortable asking questions and sharing difficulties.
Integrity is very important in my teaching. I give honest feedback and realistic guidance. I focus on steady improvement and correct technique rather than quick results. Progress is checked regularly to motivate students.
Along with flute lessons, I also teach music theory, rhythm practice, sight reading, scale exercises, and basic performance skills. My goal is to help students develop strong fundamentals and a deep interest in music.
