About Alexia
When I moved from France to live in the US, I had to learn English the real way—by using it. That experience showed me that immersion and real conversations are the fastest and most natural way to learn a language. So when I teach French, I bring that same philosophy: focus on what’s useful first, and then expand into the more abstract and complex parts. Because I’m a Speech-Language Pathology student, I also understand how language forms in the brain. This helps me guide students not just through grammar rules, but through how communication actually works and grows.

My Method I like to combine conversation practice with small, focused exercises or vocabulary lists—not because you “have to” learn them, but because they are tools to help you communicate. Once you can say what you need in real life, everything else feels easier. Lesson Structure Warm-up/Recap: A quick check-in or review of what we saw last time. Activity of the day: A structured exercise, a conversation game, or targeted practice. Wrap-up: Recap of new skills and space for questions or “confusion time” if needed. Who I Teach I work with middle school to college students, from beginners discovering French for the first time to advanced learners wanting to polish their fluency. Lessons can be free-flowing and conversational or seriously structured—it all depends on what works best for you.
