I had Sam as a Sociology A Level tutor for around 9 months and during that time he greatly boosted both my confidence and knowledge in the subject.
Each lesson was always very well planned out, going into great detail over the syllabus in a clear and easy to understand way, as well as covering exam technique, many practice questions and anything else I needed support in.
Sam was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and approachable, always happy to answer any questions I had and providing nuggets of wisdom and advice that I took with me into the exam.
As a tutor, he really went above and beyond to give me an amazing service both in and outside of the lesson and I believe it his expertise and support that enabled me to achieve an A in my A level exam!

I’m writing this review before knowing what my daughter achieved in her GCSEs because, honestly, I don’t care! Her mock grades went up to 9 but regardless we absolutely adored having Sam as my daughter's GCSE English Literature tutor, and I could not recommend him enough. During the initial session, the passion and enthusiasm for the subject shone through—he had an enthusiasm that made even the most challenging literature accessible and fascinating.

Professionalism, dedication, and sincere concern distinguished Sam. He would always go the extra mile—offering extra encouragement when needed, incorporating thoughtful feedback, and adapting his teaching method to the student's method of learning. Her confidence and academic skills significantly improved owing to him.

What made him all the more special, however, was the warmth he brought with him and the respect he always gave her—not only as a student, but as an individual. He helped guide her through periods of doubt and taught her how to have fun with learning.

She was not alone, of course—a number of her friends studied with Sam and they absolutely loved working for him. You do not come across very many tutors that are so universally loved and trusted.

He was also a great support to us as parents—always taking the time to keep us informed, giving us feedback, and thoughtful recommendations that really made us feel involved and in the loop throughout.

Above all, we are grateful for all the effort, worry, and enthusiasm Sam devoted to every lesson. He made his mark for sure!

Sam is an incredibly hard working and helpful tutor. He dosent just teach but rather specifically makes revision acts suited to what you request help with. Making his lessons immensely helpful but also more engaging than just the generic lesson of reading of a PowerPoint. The exam paragraph technique he teaches is NOT taught in school making him overall an extremely valuable help to my sociology a level. Words can’t express how much I would recommend him.
