About Reid
My love for biology began with curiosity about how the human body functions and how life adapts across nature. This interest led me to complete a B.Sc in Molecular Biology, where I studied genetics, cellular mechanisms, and the scientific foundations of health and life processes. With 6 years of teaching experience, I have guided students through biology in a way that makes learning feel clear, meaningful, and achievable.
I believe the best biology teaching is visual, connected, and concept-driven. My tutoring style emphasises diagrams, storytelling through systems, and helping students understand how biological processes relate to each other. I enjoy working with learners preparing for exams as well as those who simply want stronger understanding and confidence. Every student receives patient explanation and structured support.
Outside of teaching, I stay engaged with biology through scientific reading and continued learning in modern life sciences. Teaching biology is rewarding because students often shift from confusion to fascination once concepts click. Helping learners grow into confident science students is something I truly value.

Biology becomes fascinating when students realise it is the story of life itself, from tiny cells to complex ecosystems. In my lessons, I help learners explore topics such as genetics, respiration, digestion, immunity, and ecology through clear explanation and engaging examples. I focus on building understanding rather than memorisation, so students can connect concepts and think scientifically. Sessions feel supportive, approachable, and designed to help learners grow curious instead of overwhelmed.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s stage. Beginners learn the foundations of cells, body systems, and basic biological vocabulary with gentle guidance. Intermediate students strengthen their knowledge through diagrams, structured notes, and exam-style questions that build accuracy. Advanced learners explore deeper concepts like molecular genetics, evolution, and physiology with more analytical discussion. Every class includes review, active recall, and clear feedback to support steady improvement.
